The English defender and former Red Devils captain recently made it clear that he is not going to stay at the club for much longer if he is to play once every month.
Erik Ten Hag shows that he now has other priorities for the backline, mainly with Varane and Lisandro Martines, with Maguire far behind, perhaps even after Lindelof.
The former most expensive defender, in his attempt to defend his position, wanted to emphasize that with him, Manchester United manages to get more positive results.
But what is the truth about this?
Under Eric Ten Hag at the Manchester club, Maguire has made 35 appearances, 18 of which have found him in the starting line-up and completing the 90 minutes.
From those 18 appearances in the starting 11, he got 14 wins and lost 4 matches, with a winning percentage that climbs to 77.8%. The combination of his last 20 appearances as a starter, both at club level and with the England national team, gives him 17 wins, 1 draw and 2 defeats. In other words, the winning percentage reaches 85%!
